Carl E. Person, Libertarian Party candidate for New York State Attorney General in 2010, obtained a total of 36,547 votes, which was .82% of the 4,443,423 total votes cast. This was the highest vote total and a higher percentage of total votes than was obtained by Libertarian Party candidates for Attorney General in 2006, 2002, 1998 & 1994.
In 2006, Christopher B. Garvey obtained a total of 29,413 votes, which was .68% of the 4,303,350 total votes cast. In 2002, Daniel A. Of course, all elections are unique so the New York State Libertarian Party may be able to elect its candidate to the office of Attorney General at a time sooner or later than this estimated date.
