Everything Old Is "Zoo" Again
At the beginning of autumn, I received notice from cabaret supergroup Doo-Wa-Zoo that the group was changing its name to Elixir. They would celebrate this change with a sensational a cappella show at the Bottom Line, on a bill with Minimum Wage and former members of Rockapella, among others. It seemed, for a short few weeks, that Elixir was really and truly on its much-deserved way. To make a long story short, the group has since learned of no less than four bands with the same name, and has reverted back to the name Doo-Wa-Zoo. They are celebrating the reclamation of the name with a concert at the Bitter End on December 9th.
Either way, the group (comprised of Kat Cogswell, Debi Hollie, Karen Mack, Stack, and Michael Werkhizer) are still on their way, and it's only a matter of time. If you missed them at the Bottom Line, and cannot see them at the Bitter End, get yourself to a future engagement.
